Clothes Mentor

  • Q: How do we source our products? +

    A: Our customers bring gently used and like-new items to sell to us at their local Clothes Mentor store. We pay the seller cash on the spot for items in good condition and current styles, such as apparel, designer handbags, jewelry, shoes, and accessories. Buying is based on individual store needs. Check out more information on how you can sell your pre-loved items.

  • Q: Do you offer in-store pickup? +

    A: Glad you asked! We do offer in-store pickup. After adding an item to your cart, you will see the option for in-store pickup at checkout. Select this option only after you’ve double-checked your store's address. When your items are ready, you’ll receive a notification, and then you’re free to pick them up at any time during our regular business hours at the location listed for each product. (NOTE: Stores may be closed on major holidays).

  • Q: Have all designer items been authenticated? +

    A: All stores cover an authentication process before buying and selling any luxury designer items. Some items are authenticated by a third party, which is noted in the description of that item. If you have questions about specific details, it is best to contact the store directly.

  • Q: Do you carry plus-size clothing? +

    A: Yes, Clothes Mentor caters to ALL women sizes 0-26.

 

Online Purchases

  • Q: How do I track my order? +

    A: After you place an order, you will receive a confirmation email. The email will contain a link to your order tracking page. If you are unable to track your order using the process above, please Contact Us.

  • Q: Can I order products in additional sizes and colors? +

    A: Most of our items are unique and do not come in size or color variations, as we buy directly from the community. Sometimes, we have multiples of the same item, so be sure to use the search features to narrow your product search.

  • Q: What are acceptable forms of payment? +

    A: We accept most major credit cards, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.

  • Q: What is your return policy? +

    A: Online orders placed for shipping are final sale. Online orders picked up in-store follow the return policy of the specific location. It’s best to contact the store directly for questions on their specific return policy.

  • Q: What can I do if I have questions about the product for sale? +

    A: You can find details about contacting specific locations on our Store Location Page.

 

Online Shipping

  • Q: How and when will my items be shipped? +

    A: All orders receive a tracking number after we have shipped your order. We do our best to fulfill orders within 1-3 business days. Shipping times vary based on your location. Please note we do not ship internationally.

  • Q: How much can I expect to pay for shipping? +

    A: We provide free shipping in the continental U.S. on all orders over $100 and $8.99 flat rate for all other orders.

  • Q: Can items from other locations be shipped to my local store? +

    A: Each Clothes Mentor store is locally owned and cannot ship items from other locations.

  • Q: Do you ship internationally? +

    A: Sorry–we currently do not offer international shipping.

 

Rewards

  • Q: Does Clothes Mentor offer a rewards program? +

  • Q: Will I receive Club CM Reward Points for my purchase? +

    A: Of course, you will receive 1 point per dollar spent! Be sure you use the same phone number or email address as your in-store loyalty account when completing your order. Check out why joining Club CM is so worth it!

  • Q: Can I redeem my loyalty reward or in-store coupons online? +

    A: Currently, we do not offer the ability to redeem loyalty rewards or in-store coupons at our online store; however, we may offer this option in the future.

 

Selling to Clothes Mentor

  • Q: What kind of items do you buy? +

    A: We buy women’s clothing sizes 0-26, apparel, shoes, handbags, accessories, and designer items. We are looking for items in great condition, current styles, and current demand, which may vary by location. Please contact your local store directly for specific buying questions.

  • Q: How will you determine how much you will pay for my items? +

    A: We price all the items we purchase using our computer matrix. Most items are priced at about 1/3 to 1/2 of the original retail price. We will pay you approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of that. Ka-ching, am I right!?

  • Q: When do I get paid for my items? +

    A: You will be paid CASH on the spot for any items that we decide to purchase.

  • Q: How should I bring my items in? +

    A: We ask that your items be freshly laundered and brought in off hangers and in baskets or bins. All items should be in good condition and free from stains, fading, holes, broken zippers, missing buttons, etc.

  • Q: Can I send my items via mail to sell? +

    A: We currently do not accept items via mail. We ask that all items be brought into our locations to sell.

  • Q: How many items can I bring in at one time? +

    A: We do not limit the number of items you can bring in, but we suggest that the first time you come in, you only bring 20-30 items so you can get a feel for what we are looking for.

  • Q: Do you buy men's, juniors, or children's clothing? +

    A: Nope, we’re just for the ladies! We only buy women’s clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories.

  • Q: Do you buy all seasons? +

    A: Yes, we buy all seasons, all year round. However, this may vary by location and inventory levels.

  • Q: How long does the buying process take? +

    A: We will go through your items immediately and get them back to you as quickly as possible. Buys are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Times may vary depending on the number of buys ahead of you.

  • Q: When do you accept buys? +

    A: We accept buys every day up until one hour before closing. Store hours may vary; see the exact location for details.

 

New With Tags (NWT)

  • Q: What exactly does “new with tags” mean? +

    A: NWT items have never been worn, so they are in new condition. Clothes Mentor offers brand-name NWT tops, bottoms, shoes, and accessories at discounted prices.

  • Q: Why would someone sell their NWT items? +

    A: There are several reasons! Among the more common ones we encounter are situations where the company they bought from doesn't accept returns, or they simply forgot about the item, and it no longer fits their style.

  • Q: How are NWT items priced? +

    A: We price our NWT items by considering the original price paid for those items. Based on the original retail price, we often sell our NWT items at about 1/3 to 1/2 of the original retail price paid.

  • Q: Could I earn more if I sell you my NWT items? +

    A: The amount you can expect to earn by selling your NWT items to us is based on the condition of the items being sold. NWT items typically make the seller about 40-50% of the original retail price.
