Our We’re Open indie series puts the focus on businesses fighting to stay open during the pandemic. With it officially being spring now and you might be doing some spring cleaning soon, tonight we’re highlighting a women's resale store, Clothes Mentor. I talked with Kathy Canada, the owner and president of Fishers’ locations. She tells me being able to offer thousands of her items online, a move she made during the pandemic, has helped the store survive. She said all the money then goes directly back to her store. Shoppers can buy items from all across the country on the website. She says sales inside the store are still down right now.

The online has actually made up for the difference in that. I think that when everything goes back to a normal state, we will have everyone back in our store like we did before, and the online store will be a real flush then. So, this year, we’re excited about that. We’re waiting, and we hope this will all happen, but over time, it has gotten better and better.
